"On Sunday just passed, I played your U9 team (Coach Scott McGinn) down at Leith Links. It was an exciting game, and some great football was played. The purpose of this e-mail was to sing Scott's praises as he was an absolutely fantastic host, along with the rest of his coaching team. From the minute we arrived at your home ground we were well looked after. He has a brilliant manner, and is so professional in his role. It is great to see such a positive and encouraging coach at that level. The team of players were also extremely respectful, and we had no problems whatsoever. He organised a penalty shoot-out after the match, which was really appreciated, as both sets of teams liked the prospect. I was also impressed that he allowed us to take part, which shows his fantastic manner as a coach. I hope he is recognised for this, and would like you to pass this email over to him. Keep up the good work, and I wish his team all the best for the future. Hopefully we could get a friendly organised in the close season. Thanks again".
Paige Lawson, Edinburgh South FC, U9 Head Coach (March '12)
"Just a brief note to praise the refurbished web-site for the club, which it merits. It's excellent and is really fine work which reflects nothing but good. A serious and intelligent representation of a serious and intelligently-run outfit. Bravo. As an award-winning advertising copywriter, graphic designer and Leither football fan I just wished to acknowledge the quality and well-considered lay-out, look and navigability of the refreshed 'home'. Impressive, befitting the club and delighted to see. All the best to you and all at L.A.F.C. Persevere"

"As one of only a handful of Clubs in the South East of Scotland to gain the Scottish FA Community Quality Mark Award, Leith Athletic Football Club are well placed to continue to offer a great experience for any aspiring footballer, irrespective of age, gender or ability. The Club are an inclusive, open, friendly and honest football club where their values and hard work are reflected in the success they have had both on and off the park in recent years."

"Leith Athletic Football Club, a long established club with its roots at Leith Links, a club built on tradition and strong values who offer opportunities to all, from the very young playing soccer fours through all the age groups to under 21 and beyond to senior football. No matter their tribulations of the past they have always returned stronger and better. A well organised club with excellent experience within the coaching and administration which offers members a great experience".
Allan Archibald, Secretary, South East Region Football Association (January '12)
"Leith Athletic FC offer a fun and fair environment for players to learn, develop, grow and express themselves on the pitch. Each coach installs belief and encourages every player, which breeds confidence and also provides players a platform to perform without pressure or fear, regardless of ability. Whilst its important to win, its more important to enjoy and the team spirit that the coaches create is fantastic. My son is back playing with a smile on his face. "

"Leith Athletic agreed, at very short notice, to host the football 4's on behalf of the East of Scotland Soccer Development Asosciation, which was most appreciated. The committment and dedication of their coaches to turn up each week and run this event for over 160 children is hugely admirable. These guys represent the spirit (perseverance) of Leith Athletic. They are helping their communities, and without them, kids football would not take place."
John Brock, Secretary, East of Scotland Soccer Development Asosciation (January '12)
"Leith Athletic FC, as the most recent recruits to Senior football in the long-established East of Scotland League, have been quick to adapt to the rigours of this level of football and after only three seasons they were promoted into the Premier Division. This was no mean feat as more established clubs have failed to attain this level after many years of striving. As the Edinburgh Evening News correspondent for the East of Scotland, I have found all club officials and players a credit to themselves and Leith Athletic and I look forward to a successful and ongoing relationship".

"Having witnessed first-hand the on-field talents of hundreds of Leith Athletic youngsters, it is fantastic to see that the club's dedication to footballing excellence is reflected in this superb website. Like Leith Athletic itself, the site is a shining example to youth football clubs throughout Scotland."
