On Sunday 26th May 2013, two players from the East of Scotland 1st Team will be running the Edinburgh Marathon in order to raise money for their respective charities.
Both Euan Campbell and Gary Black have been in training since last year and both have put a huge amount of miles in their legs in preparation for the big day, which is now less than seven days away!

The East of Scotland season draws to a close tomorrow when the 1st Team host Eyemouth United FC at Meadowbank.
If we win and depending on results elsewhere, we can still win promotion to the East of Scotland Premier Division. At the moment, we are one point behind second placed Coldstream FC, with the Home Park club having a better goal difference by only two goals. Whilst we face Eyemouth at Meadowbank, they face a tricky home tie against Gala Fairydean FC.
Another big weekend of action sees the club participating in a cup final, a promotion decider and some massive league games, which could help decide which teams finish at the top of their respective leagues.
After last weekend's David Murray Cup Final win (3-2) over Bonnyrigg Rose BC, our Under 19's head south where they face Tweedmouth Juniors in the league. The game is a 2:00pm kick off.

The David Murray Cup Final

Report courtesy of Mr. Ian MacKay & Youth Football Scotland
My last final of the weekend was for the David Murray Cup and I wonder if you will believe me if I say AGAIN just how good a game it was. Stunning in fact and it built up to the most incredible finish. It was another step in to the unknown for me as I did not know just what to expect from Bonnyrigg Rose and Leith Athletic. In the event, it was simply as good as it gets for me at this age level. If I tell you Leith Athletic won 3-2 you may think it was just an average under-19 youth club finale. It was not! In my humble opinion, it was a fantastic game to watch with wonderful goals and, well, Leith Athletic's winner in the last minute of the game was simply something very special.

A great weekend was had by the club, where we picked up another trophy as well as our first league title of the season, despite both sides trailing 2-0 in their respective matches.
On Saturday, our East of Scotland side got the ball rolling when they travelled to Netherdale to face Gala Fairydean. With promotion relying on results elsewhere, all we could do was go out and win the game and hope results went for us elsewhere. We won 5-0 (match report HERE) and Coldstream dropped points at Berwick, which now sees promotion in our hands.
